Drain/Clean Your Pool Cover

When you go to remove you remove your pool cover, you will need to keep a couple of things in mind. Firstly, you want to remove as much water from the cover as possible. People often forget how heavy water can be and will end up accidentally dumping the dirty water into the swimming pool. A pool pump will help you drain the water. After you have removed all the stagnant water, you should also clean the cover. You should use a pool cover cleaner to sweep off any remaining dirt and debris. Once your pool cover is clean and has air dried, you can roll/fold it up and place it in a dry place for storage.

Circulate The Water For A Day

Before you add any products to your swimming pool, you should allow the pool the circulate for a day. The reason for this is because you want to get an accurate reading when you go to test the water. In many cases, the surface water can differ from the water at the base of the pool.
